Government Azizul Haque College



Government Azizul Haque College is a leading and traditional educational institute of Bangladesh. It is located in the heart of Bogra city. This college is affiliated to Bangladesh National University. It is the largest educational institution in the northern region of Bangladesh.

History:

On 4 April 1938, a committee was constituted by General Secretary Khan Bahadur Mohammad Ali and Maulvi Abdus Sattar as general secretary for establishing a college in Bogra. This college was established in July 1939. [2] The college was named after Sir Azizul Huq, a well-known personality of undivided Bengal. He was the Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University; He started his education in government schools in Bengal, turned education into primary education, establishment of Islamic History and Culture Department of Calcutta University (1940), introduction of Education Week celebration program, Mahajani Bill of Tenancy Council and Treasury Law, he was the first principal of the college. Dr. M.M. Mukherjee (August 1939-September 1939) and the first Vice-Chancellor was Mr. S.P. Sen. College classes are temporarily taken at the primary school (current) for nearly two years from the beginning of the college. Later it was shifted to Fulbari Bottala. On 15 April, 1968, the college was made public.

At the beginning of the college's journey, only the permission to start an I class. At the beginning, there were about 200 students who were not students. Among the first batch students, Mojam Pikaar, Ameer Ali, Shafiqur Rahman, Abdul Malek Nurul Islam Bhola and others. "In the year 1941, the results of the first batch examination of the college showed that among the 152 candidates passed 107 examinations. Of these, 08 students in first division, 64 in second division and 35 passed in third division. The pass rate was 69.2%. But the rate at Calcutta University was 63.4%.

In the years that the curriculum ended with the introduction of college education, the great and humane purpose of education was revived, so long that it was trembling after the wrath of communism. Only two years after the establishment, ie, in 1941, the college, economy and history of Islamic History and Culture got permission to start two year honors and BA pass courses. Dr. Who According to M Yaqub Ali, 'This is the first college under the University of Calcutta to start honoring classes at that time.' But due to teacher shortage and other inconvenience, the college management committee only honors the history of Islamic history and introduces a BA Pass course. After the 1945-46 academic year, the college got permission to start honoring and recruitment of Ikom in Bangla and Arabic departments. After the partition of India in 1947, the college was legally under the University of Dhaka in the newly formed Pakistan State. On the pretext of administrative complexity, the honor class in the college was abducted, and the ISC was abducted. Get permission to start classes (materials, chemistry, quantities). ISSC Biology topics in the class were included in the 1948-49 education year. After sometime in 1954-55, the college was subordinated to the University of Rajshahi and a three-year honors category was introduced in Arabic, Islamic History and Culture. In addition to the respect of respect to Bangla, Economics, History, Islamic History and Culture in the College, after the government level, BA, B.Com, BSc, IA, ICom, ISSC were introduced. In the year 1972-73, the Honors course started in Bangla, Iyetas, Islamic History and Culture, Economics, Arabic, Political Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Accounting. Master's courses are introduced in economics, rathology, management, accounting. In 1973-74 there were 3,787 students, including 317 and 618 respectively in Masters and Honors. The teacher was 90.

The new campus consists of 1 trollean art building, one 4th floor science building, 1 trilateral commerce building and 1 double library. There are 1 double circle principal building, 1 student parliament building, 1 double mosque, 1 rovers scout building, 1 martyd monument and 1 playground. Class-71, Library-7, Research-18

Dormitory:

For the students in the new campus of the college * Titumir Hall, * Sher-e-Bangla Hall and * Shaheed Akhtar Alimun Hall and 3 for the students and there are 1 residential hall named Rokeya Hall. Besides, there is a hall named Fakhruddin Ahmed Hall for the students of the old campus.

Library:

There is a library of about 22,000 thousand books. In 1968, a large auditorium of about 2,500 seats was built in the college.
